Trigonometry Part 2 〰️

Lesson 1

In this lesson we look at Trigonometric Identities and working through proofs. We check to make sure that the LS = RS by making substitutions for known trigonometric facts like the reciprocal trig ratios.

Lesson 2

In this lesson we look at sine and cosine as functions and begin discussion the many properties and characteristics of Trigonometric, periodic functions.

Lesson 3

In this lesson we look at transforming our base sine and cosine graphs using the transformations studied in past units.

Lesson 4

In this lesson we look at one of the major properties of Trigonometric functions, the period. We will look at how horizontally stretching or compressing these function alters their period.

Additionally, using our knowledge from transformations, we will go in reverse and develop the equation for a Trigonometric function when we are provided with the graph.

In this lesson, students will be able to combine all transformations, as we have done in the past and apply them to the periodic functions of Sine and Cosine in a word problem or application setting.

Students are expected to be able to describe details of the graph including information on the equation of the axis, amplitude, period, maximum and minimum, and the domain and range.
